BOSTON STRONG - One Year later!

M Doucette Production was proud to be both a part of this great creative team and a resident of Back Bay Boston.

M Doucette Production helped to gather proud, resilient Bostonstonians to participate in the Sports Illustrated magazine cover commemorating the one year anniversary of the Boston Marathon Bombing.
Check out our time lapse video...This Is How We Do It........

On April 12th 2014, over 3,000 supporters, survivors, EMTs, firefighters, police officers, city-workers (including Mayor Walsh) came together to be a part of a momentous production for Sports Illustrated and the Boston community

Photographer, Gregory Heisler was hired shoot the cover of an upcoming issue that will commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings. And after previously working with Gregory on a book cover for Jeff Bauman, MDP knew this would be a match made in heaven.

Not only will this cover mark a milestone for the magazine but also remind us how well the city of Boston can overcome any obstacles through perseverance, support and above all, strength.

Start your year in style, with SELF Magazine!

Back in October, SELF Magazine hired M Doucette Production to produce a shoot for their February 2014 issue. After months of waiting, the photos and magazine are now officially released and we want to take you behind the scenes for an exclusive look into how we pulled it all off!
MDP found the the perfect location. And our producer, Michele, woke up with the birds to get this shot! Can you guess which beachfront town we were in?

While the folks from CHIVE- Sustainable Event Design & Catering prepped breakfast in our makeshift dinning room downstairs...

...Our team moved out furniture, built a flat and geared up for a full day's work!
Breakfast anyone? A heartfelt thank you is in order for the folks at CHIVE for truly going above and beyond all of our expectations. The entire team at SELF could not speak higher to the quality and service they provided. Kudos to Chive's owner/designer, Jen for her dedication and hard work!

MmMm—look at that spread!  Our breakfast began with tall glasses of fresh ginger and apple juice, continued by some simply scrambled local eggs with leeks,  paired with smoked salmon and roasted pepper frittatas.

Can't forget our little booties! Although it was rather awkward to ask our model to wear brightly colored slippers throughout the shoot, these little guys protected our
homeowners fabulous floors from any wear and tear!

And so it began—our talented crew got things started with some final touches!

How lucky were we to snag a location with such gorgeous lighting? Our renowned lifestyle/fashion photographer, Dewey Nicks (far left) said it was the BEST natural light studio he ever shot in...we didn't remind him it was a house!

SELF Magazine Creative Director, Cynthia Searight (seated center) took a quick break
before we headed outside to take advantage of the beautiful coastline.

Talk about a trouper! Our cover girl (hidden behind the white board)
climbed the steps to the sea and bore every element mother nature threw at us.

Our secret is out! During production it was essential we kept the identity of Cameron Diaz from the public. But now that the issue has hit newsstands across the country we are singing from the rafters.
You've just got to love her positive energy, beautiful personality and infectious smileand to think this was shot mid-October along the breezy New England coast.

Thank you Self Magazine for inviting us to produce such a sensational cover!

Our production assistant, Robyn, decided to end the day with a high! We would like to thank all the members of our crew and creative team for making this unforgettable production a success:

Moxie Productions hires local M Doucette Production to help with Ralph Lauren Fashion Shoot!

No one knows the Back Bay better than Producer/Owner Michele Doucette from M Doucette Production. She has lived there for almost 10 years and notes of all the beautiful architecture during her city walks (often times behind the lens of her camera). This makes her the perfect person to work with Moxie Productions and Ralph Lauren on this fashion photo shoot.

After a couple days of scouting, we brought photographer, Sheila Metzner around to see our home rental options.

Hands down, she fell in LOVE with 130 Comm. Ave

The staircase is what sold her!

The decor is pretty, but not Ralph's style.
Everything must go...

...but don't worry, we'll put it all back exactly like we found it, we promise!

"Hey dad, there's some strange people in our house? I think they're stealing our furniture!!!!"

Our crew is takin' it to the streets!

And our props have arrived!

Excuse me, did someone say they needed a coffee run?

Art Director, Ellen Visconti-Olson says "What do you mean 'we have to return the house, the dog and car'? I thought they were in the budget as non-returnables?"

Final Ads in print!

          Day 2

Traveled North of Boston to find this beautiful mansion....
Can anyone guess it?

This mansion is the former HQ for Mullen Advertising Agency, located in Wenham, MA. Owner Jim Mullen, longtime friend of Ralph Lauren was more than accommodating by renting us not only the mansion, but several automobiles from his private collection.

Sheila is keeping an eye on the action from her post behind the camera.

Church Bells Ring at Mullen Advertising

iRobot and Mullen Advertising
called in pro, M Doucette Production, to coordinate a small ceremony at Mullen's in-house photo studio.
Accompanied by "Officiant" (photographer), Kara Kochalko & "Best Man/Maid of Honor" (stylist with TeamRina Pastiokosas, this shoot went off without a hitch!

Rina makes sure the tux fits Neil (with Maggie, Inc) like a glove.

Nicolina (with Maggie, Inc) waiting for a dress change...

Always a model, never a bride.

You can't keep Kara behind the camera!
Here she is putting in some elbow grease (along with a little pose).

The Dans (AD, Dan Madsen & Photo Assistant, Dan Orlow) watch as Kara shows our bride exactly where to hold her iRobot Vacuum.

Nicolina patiently waits on set... for us to cover up her beautiful face.

Neil doesn't need the practice posing for the camera,
but it sure will come in handy at his own wedding this weekend!

I now pronounce you Husband & Wife... & iRobot.

Mullen's team, Art Buyer Jessica Manning & Copywriter Kelly McAuley
can't help but be happy for this joyous occasion!

A little confetti cleanup.
I guess the vacuums already left for the honeymoon.
